Former President Trump’s defense lawyer, whose services he terminated last month, has revealed an unpleasant development. She has been diagnosed with cancer.

Since leaving office as the country’s Attorney General (AG), Pam Bondi has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

According to a conversation Bondi recently had with CBS, she has been undergoing cancer treatment; and surgery was part of it.

Despite President Trump relieving Bondi of her Attorney General position, she continues to sit at the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.

When did Bondi Leave Office as the Attorney General?

Pam Bondi ceased to hold the Attorney General’s position in April 2026. Before her appointment as AG, she was part of President Trump’s legal team in his first term.

She was part of the legal team that defended him during the Senate impeachment hearing in 2020. When it was announced that Bondi was leaving the position of AG, Trump had nothing bad to say about her.

As for Vice-President J.D. Vance, he had kind words to say about Bondi. He said that she would still continue to offer some wisdom regarding some of the government’s pertinent issues.

Hopefully, Pam Bondi will soon overcome the thyroid problem and be healed.

Last week, the US Director of Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, submitted her resignation because of illness; not her own, but of her husband.

According to Gabbard, her husband, Abraham Williams, is receiving treatment for a rare kind of bone cancer.
