40 people have been confirmed dead and over 100 injured in Moscow, following a deadly gun raid in one of Moscow’s concert halls, the Crocus City Hall.

A group of gunmen barged into the hall that has a capacity of 6,200 people, and randomly shot at the audience. Thereafter, the shooters set the place on fire.

This terror raid happened on Friday, March 22nd, a few days after Vladimir Putin’s orchestrated win as president.

Russia has admitted the attack was grave, with the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, terming the tragedy massive.

Minutes after the gunmen burst into the venue, lives were lost, many people in the crowd were injured, and the roof of the hall was caving in.

This terror act is likely to put a dent on the morale of Russian fighters in Ukraine. It has taken place at a time when the Russian fighters are rumored to be struggling, in a fight against a country that has the support of virtually the entire Western world.

The bloody Russia-Ukraine war is now in its 3rd year, and the entry of the Islamic State entity into the equation can only complicate the situation.
