Jessie Nathaniel Lemonier, whose father is Henry Lemonier, is being mourned not only by his family including his mother, Francoise Lemonier, and brother, Corey but the entire US football fraternity.

Jessie Lemonier, who has also left behind his expectant girlfriend, was born in January 1997 in the US’ state of Florida. He signed up with USFL’s Houston Gamblers at the end of 2022, although the Arlington Renegades had chosen him for this year’s XFL Draft.

He had opportunity to play for different American football clubs as an outside linebacker, the first one being the Los Angeles Chargers who enlisted him in April 2020 soon after his successful career playing college football.

As a college student, Lemonier honed his football playing skills within the Liberty University’s football program, Liberty Flames.

In September 2021, slightly over a year playing as a free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers, Lemonier joined the Detroit Lions. He remained with the Lions until May 2022 when he joined Arizona Cardinals, before moving on to play for the Birmingham Stallions.

While at the Cardinals he had been off waivers, and his stint with the club lasted just three months. The last time Lemonier played in the National Football League was in 2021. America’s NFL comprises 32 teams.

When he failed to sign up with the Arlington Renegades, his rights to play went straight to his immediate former club, the Birmingham Stallions.

As messages of condolences continue to pour in, HuffPost.com reports that the Detroit Lions have formerly mourned their former teammate, terming him a role model and a wonderful person.
