A few days after the war between the US-Israel duo and Iran started, it became apparent that it was going to affect the entire Gulf region directly. As many airlines grounded their aircraft, the UAE established a safety corridor to facilitate the evacuation of foreign nationals.

UK Nationals continue to be evacuated.

However, the evacuation process has not been as fast as those stranded might have wished. More than 100,000 UK citizens stranded in the region registered with their embassy for assistance, but evacuation only began effectively on Thursday. The government had organized for the first flight to take off on Wednesday, but apparently, the region’s volatility caused a delay.

Yesterday’s report from the country’s Foreign Office indicates that another flight was chartered from Oman and had already taken off.

Muscat is Abuzz with Activity

Meanwhile, activity at the Muscat International Airport in Oman has surged, with an increasing number of aircraft waiting to take off on evacuation missions. Of those taking off every day, 30% are private planes evacuating their owners, relatives, or friends.

Explosions Increasing in Tehran

Reports from Tehran indicate that the number of explosions landing in the capital has increased, and more damage is being caused. Some residents estimated the explosions heard last night were spaced at intervals of just a few hours. One eyewitness reported seeing an aircraft burning on some tarmac.

Fears of Russia’s Intervention

There have been rumors that Vladimir Putin’s government has been helping Iran behind the scenes. However, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth refused to give a direct answer when CBS asked him about it.
