Former mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, is hospitalized, critically ill, but stable.
Giuliani’s health condition was disclosed today by Giuliani’s spokesperson, Ted Goodman, through social media. Giuliani’s condition was also confirmed by President Donald Trump, who remembered the great fight he put up for him in 2020 when he claimed the election had been stolen.
Trump termed Rudy Giuliani the best New York mayor ever.
Rudi Giuliani’s Rise to International Fame
Rudi Giuliani’s name made international headlines in September 2001, when he impressively handled the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. He was the mayor of New York then, having been elected for his second term in 1997. He is now 81 years old.
When his term ended in December 2001, Michael Bloomberg succeeded him. Giuliani is a Republican, just as is President Donald Trump. As for Bloomberg, he has changed parties several times.
He ran for the mayoral seat as a Republican in 2001, shortly after moving from the Democratic Party. He has since become an Independent, before switching back to the Democratic Party.
