Attack our Supreme Leader or any other, and we will go for your Kings and palaces: that is a threat an Iranian lawmaker made yesterday.

Mahmoud Nabavian, a Hardline member of the Iranian Majlis (Parliament), said in a public statement that Iran had run out of patience. He particularly pointed out the Gulf countries that have continued to help the US launch attacks from their territories.

Nabavian said that should the US or Israel attack any of their leaders, the way they have done in the past, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and all those other US allies can expect attacks on their cities. Specifically, they should expect their palaces to “burn”.

Direct Demands to Arab Neighbors

Iran has further demanded that those US allies prevent the use of the US military assets in their respective countries. That, in Iran’s view, should demonstrate their resolve not to abet the war against Iran.

Iran is giving the notion that, despite anything the US President says, the Mojtaba Khamenei-led regime is not letting its guard down.

While making the demand to the US allies in the region, Nabavian noted that Iran’s enemy could start a fresh war at any time. He said if that happens, the conflict will no longer be bilateral. Instead, the countries that have provided the enemy with assistance, including logistical support, will feel the heat.

He underlined that such countries should expect retaliation if the enemy attacks Iran’s leadership. Nabavian specifically demanded that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait terminate the use of US military bases in their countries.

In essence, the safety of the Arab kings in the region now depends on whether the Gulf countries sever military ties with Washington.

Iran’s threat, through legislator Nabavian, underscores the recent message from Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Ghalibaf. Ghalibaf had sought to negate the picture portrayed by US President Donald Trump that Iran was militarily vanquished.

The threat by Nabavian has spread across Iran and the region, having been posted online by prominent people.
