Babu Owino has provided more details on who attacked Senator Osotsi.
The Member of Parliament for Embakasi East, Paul Ongili, popularly known as Babu Owino, has strongly condemned the attack on the Senator for Vihiga County, Godfrey. Osotsi.
Osotsi was viciously attacked on Wednesday, 8th April 2026, at Java Hotel, in the lakeside city of Kisumu. Terming the incident regrettable, the MP hailed Osotsi as a peace-loving citizen.
Babu Owino Reads out the Names of the Goons
Flanked by other Kenyan lawmakers and friends, Owino read out a list of 17 names he said were the attackers of Osotsi, before saying who their sponsor was. The names included one Akoth, whom Owino described as a notorious Kisumu criminal and the gang leader,
The MP said Akoth moves around the country at his sponsor’s behest, hiring goons to attack targeted leaders.
In his address, Babu Owino singled out the Principal Secretary (PS) for Internal Security and National Administration, Raymond Owino, as the person financing the Kisumu-based goons.
He said the PS breeds and finances the goons and sends them on violent assignments in different parts of the country, including Nairobi and Mombasa.
The MP also said that Omollo has been issuing threats to members of the renegade ODM faction, “Linda Mwananchi”.
Finally, Babu Owino urged the DCI to act swiftly to arrest Osotsi’s attackers. He added that it should not be a difficult task, considering there is CCTV footage from the scene of the attack and the list of names just provided.
To underline the credibility of the list of criminals he had just read out, Babu Owino said he was ready to face anyone disputing it in court. He also insisted that PS Omollo is, in reality, not a PS for security but for insecurity, and urged the President to sack him.
