Catherine Middleton, wife to William, Prince of Wales, has cancer.
She made the disclosure in a video statement today, Friday, as she explained the treatment her doctors have recommended.
Making it clear the cancer diagnosis was a shock to the family, Kate assured the public she has already begun chemotherapy.
Kate Middleton’s statement is likely to put to rest the rumors circulating in mainstream and social media, regarding her relationship with William. Word has been going around that the couple’s relationship is strained, because apparently, William has been unfaithful to Kate.
He was rumored to have cheated on Middleton with their long-time friend, Rose Hanbury. Hanbury is married to David Cholmodeley, and they have three children – two boys and a girl.
With the news of Kate’s unexpected diagnosis out, it is clear why William remained tongue-tied even as the unpleasant rumors reached fever peak. It is also understandable that Kate was distraught, as reported by palace insiders, to hear the rumors against her husband.
In today’s statement, Catherine went to lengths to explain how tough it has been for the family, following her unexpected diagnosis.
She, however, had great things to say about her London doctors. She praised them for conducting a successful abdominal surgery, which she termed “major surgery””.
Despite the cancer diagnosis, Kate tried to bravely downplay the seriousness of her condition, instead choosing to remain optimistic about the treatment.
On the other hand, she was categorical that it has been difficult for her and her husband to process the reality of her newly discovered health issue.
Nevertheless, the two are determined to remain strong for the sake of their children.
